Velocex 175: fast cutting and power in action in Spain

We recently presented our line of high-speed automatic circular sawing machines (here the news) showing you how it is possible to make these models even more efficient thanks to the range of bar loaders and dischargers available (here their main features).

Today we move to Spain to talk about one of the latest installations of the Velocex sawing machines, in particular the Velocex 175 model. The installation took place at a well-known company manufacturing various types of rollers and automatic conveyors.

In the sawing machine fleet of this company there was already one of our manual sawing machines but, over the years, the production needs had changed: actually, the customer now needed to increase its production by at least three times as a result of an important investment in machinery in order to remain competitive and meet the market needs. Being already aware of our company and the advantages offered by the model in its possession, the customer decided to contact our Spanish agent who, together with our team, was able to find the right solution to meet the customer's production needs.

Given the need to significantly increase the production flow, we decided to offer the customer one of our models of high-speed automatic circular sawing machines, namely the Velocex 175. The high productivity, efficiency and precision of the Velocex line impressed the customer. At the same time, another aspect that made the difference was the specular and burr-free cut finishing obtained with this sawing machine compared to the band model in its possession. In addition, the customer decided to equip the sawing machine with the following options: bar loader with hydraulic lifting to further increase the production flow and minimize the machine downtime, fume extractor and, finally, tele service.

The high-speed automatic circular sawing machine Velocex 175 is able to perform 0° cuts on solid bars of diameter of up to 175 mm. In this case, the customer decided to purchase this model to meet its cutting needs related to tubes and solids to manufacture rollers and racks.

Here are some of the main features of this sawing machine:

• The hydraulic bar feeder lifting system avoids the contact of the bar with the surfaces of the cutting vice while feeding the material, thus preserving them as well as the surface of the bar. 
• Bar feeder with single stroke 1000 mm, repeatable to cut at any length, is tilting to facilitate feeding of even non-straight bars.
• The two position swinging guide to unload pieces automatically separates trims and remnants from production pieces, thus optimizing the production process.
• The material library allows the automatic setting of the blade speed and head down feed rate according to the type of material.
• 8'' Mitsubishi touchscreen control allowing to set: saw head down feed rate, chip load, blade speed, number of cuts to execute, material size, cutting length. 

Finally, the customer decided to purchase some maintenance kits to ensure efficiency, reliability and high cutting performance over time, thus minimizing any machine downtime and, therefore, frequent interruptions in the production process.
